The first-class traditional residence of Arghvan Qazvin, originally named the Yazdi House, was built at the end of the Qajar period and was purchased by the Cultural Heritage Organization and registered in the list of national monuments. The house of the Yazdis belonged to Haj Abul Qasim Yazdi and is located in the Qazvin historical context complex near Daulat Khaneh, Saad al-Sultaneh caravanserai and Salehiya pass. Qazvin, the capital of Iran during the Safavid rule, is considered one of the must-see places in Iran due to its museums, churches, old markets and many beautiful historical buildings and monuments. Qazvin ranks first in Iran in terms of the number of historical monuments. There are so many sights in Qazvin that throughout history, it has been given many nicknames such as Gate of Paradise, Baghshahr and Dar al-Sultaneh. The Yazdi house was given over to a residential unit in 1399 for restoration and operation, and from March 1400, it was officially named Arghvan Afat traditional residence.
